Each 400ml spray can cover 2sqm and the spray nozzle ensures colour gets into every nook.
Low Odor & Versatility
Liquitex Professional Acrylic Spray Paint is made with a solvent-light formula that produces far fewer fumes, making it much more pleasant and safe to use both outdoors and indoors. Low solvents also mean it’s safe for use with more substrates and techniques. Use Liquitex Professional Acrylic Spray Paint where and how you like, on a wider range of materials, including stretched canvas, card, board, glass, wood, masonry, brick, ceramics, styrofoam and more. Applications include murals, stencilling, underpainting, painting, sculpture, collage and mixed media.
Water-Based Formula
Water-soluble when wet, yet permanent and water-resistant when dry, Liquitex Professional Acrylic Spray Paint offers the best of both worlds. Once sprayed, the water in the paint evaporates rapidly, leaving behind a flexible acrylic film of colour. The colour is permanent and does not bleed, allowing for painting over and achieving multi-layered surface effects.
Pre-Mixed System
Most artists use Spray Paints directly on their surfaces, without mixing. To ensure artists get consistent tints and shades, some colours are pre-mixed by adding black and white pigments to create a complete tonal range. The number appended to a colour name indicates if monochrome pigments were added, the larger the number, the more pigments were added:
- No number in colour name - regular Liquitex colour
- Suffix of 1 to 4 - black pigments are added to create a deeper shade
- Suffix of 5–8 - white pigments are added to achieve a paler tint
Archival
Liquitex Professional Acrylic Spray Paint offers the highest quality colour-intense artist pigments. These pigments are processed using the latest basket bead-mill technology, where tiny reinforced ceramic beads give fine dispersion, great colour development, strength and brightness resulting in true colour purity and archival stability in a spray.
Tips for using Liquitex Professional Acrylic Spray Paint:
- Always start with a clean cap – If it’s dirty, replace it with a fresh one
- Shake the can for a minute before you start to keep the pigment/binder evenly mixed
- Keep it upright as you spray
- Apply in short, frequent bursts
- After use, spray upside down until nothing comes out, then remove the cap and give it a quick clean (before the paint dries) with soap and water or cap cleaner
- Keep the cap cover on when not in use, to stop paint from drying out
